Michael Hausenfleck also recently joined Moeller Graf, P.C. (in July of 2019), having returned home to the west after way too many years on the east coast. Michael has extensive experience in corporate law, in particular in the field of Securities Enforcement, including work defending individuals and public companies in class-action and derivative lawsuits, and in investigations conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice.
Michael had a long and circuitous journey through academia before stumbling into the practice of law, including a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Florida International University, and a Ph.D. in Politics from Brandeis University in Massachusetts. Serendipity (and economics) then led to a Juris Doctor Degree from the George Mason University School of Law and the practice of law with two prominent national firms in Washington, DC.
Among other adventures, Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard in Miami, studied at Cambridge University in England (where he also was on the darts team and drank way, way too much Guinness), managed a political campaign for a state House seat, and once had a long phone conversation with Buddy Ebsen (good ol’ Uncle Jed) during which he (Buddy) played the banjo and auditioned an original song composition (Buddy was quite talented, even at an advanced age). Michael is very pleased to be at Moeller Graf.
